"We are seeking for a new mythology." That kinda directly reminded me of the psychologist called Rollo May, especially his book called "The Cry For Myth". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cry_for_Myth

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V

@MegaTen I'm guessing that means they're breaking away from the mythological focus of IV/Apocalypse. Although any in-game dialogue relating to humanity's need for belonging and how it adopts...

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V

@Ralizah I think so too. I love games that deal with more mature themes. It's the reason why I regard this series among the best. They probably want us to create our own mythos within the game by...

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V

@MegaTen The game will have a fantastic OST. Pretty much everything developed by Atlus in the last few years has had amazing music. I'm hoping this game goes back to the mystery and eerieness of the...

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V

@Ralizah Yeah, that's indeed still amazing. I was pleasantly surprised Kazuyuki Yamai mentioned Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne in the interview with Famitsu (claiming they are aiming for the game's...

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V

@MegaTen That was a pretty decent write-up. Nuclear fears are definitely at the heart of SMTI, with the demon riddled apocalypse being symbolic of everything that is lost to such violence. In that...

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V

@MegaTen Well, thanks for that! Now I'm even more excited to get stuck into SMTV; I love a game with ambition.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V

That's right, the original Megami Tensei title (as part of a duology) turned 30 years old this year. The Famicom version turned 30 on September 11. That wasn't the first version, as it was released...

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V

@MegaTen That's why I haven't updated my phone ;) And I'd love to have SMT 2 on 3DS even instead of having to emulate. And I have Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei as my next in line after I beat SMT 2.
